Daddy Issues: Better as Grandfather?

Terrible daddy —terrible grandfather. Unfortunately.

I have been stewing on this for a couple of weeks. I came back to the motherland with a little hope that maybe, just maybe, my darling daughters might have a chance to know their grandfather —my father. Alas, that hope was dashed into smithereens a short while back.
